FAQ

Frequently asked questions.

How ReedArk works on a Sunday, from the first reference to the last song. Questions about plans and prices are on the pricing page.

Getting started.

A few minutes. Create your church's account, choose your Bible translations, connect the sound desk feed and open the output on the projector. There's nothing to install.

Any Windows, Mac or Chromebook computer with a current browser. Chrome or Edge work best. Open the console on the media desk computer and the output on whichever screens need it.

Through a microphone or, better, a feed from your sound desk into the computer. The console shows the level and warns you if the sound goes silent or clips.

Yes. Admins invite the team with single-use codes; admins manage the church and operators run the service. There's no limit on team members.

Scripture.

It listens for references however they're said: "John 3:16", "John chapter three verse sixteen", "Psalm one nineteen", ranges and lists. It also recognises verses read or quoted from memory, by their words, when no reference is said.

Yes. It remembers where the preacher is, so "verse 17", "go down to verse 20" and "next verse" all work without the book being said again.

Auto only puts up references it's sure of. Anything less clear waits in the console for the operator to click. A reference that doesn't exist, like 2 Peter chapter 4, is never projected; the operator sees a note instead.

Yes. Turn Auto off and every heard reference waits for a click. You can also type a short search such as "jn 3 16" and step through verses with the arrow keys.

Translations and word study.

Popular translations including KJV, NKJV, NLT, ASV, BSB and Young's Literal, among others. Each one shows its publisher's credit line on screen.

Yes. When the preacher asks for one, "give me the New Living Translation", say, the verse switches there and then. Star the translations your church uses to keep them at the top.

Yes. Click a word in the verse to put its Hebrew or Greek on screen: the word as written, how it's said and what it means.

04 / 06

Worship and lyrics.

It listens to the worship and moves the lyrics line by line as they're sung. If you'd rather decide, set it to suggest the next slide and you put it up.

A shared library of worship songs, plus your church's own. Paste lyrics from anywhere and they're split into clean slides, and a playlist for Sunday tells it which songs to listen for first.

Double-click a slide to change it for today's service. The library copy stays as it is.

05 / 06

Screens and livestream.

Press Present and the output opens full screen on the projector, with no address bar showing. The preview in the console shows exactly what the room sees.

Yes. Scripture and lyrics have full-screen and lower-third outputs on green, ready to key. Give each output a fixed private address so it never needs setting up again.

Yes. Import a PowerPoint, Google Slides deck or PDF, make text and picture slides, play videos, and show countdowns or the time, all from the same console.

Privacy and reliability.

Only your church's team. Each service's transcript is kept in its history, with every verse shown marked where it was said. ReedArk keeps the text, never the audio.

It stops listening on its own after the length of silence you choose, so a forgotten service doesn't run all week.

Yes. Each translation is kept on the computer after first use, so search and verses keep working through a dropped connection. Listening reconnects by itself and the transcript is sent when the connection is back.
